Walking down the food buffet, I saw the tiny label "Mahi-Mahi."
Upon seeing this, I thought to myself, humm....I wonder what that tastes like.
Could it be fish? Chicken? something else? Someone nearby commented that she once heard that Mahi-Mahi was dolphin. I said, "Yeah right. They were pulling your leg," and added a piece to my plate.
Well, it is a fish and more specifically a dolphin fish!
I ATE DOLPHIN!!!
Further research has helped me learn more about this new food. Mahi-Mahi is also called dolphin or dolphin fish. The name means "strong-strong" in Hawaiian. I've learned that this fish is NOT the same as the cute mammal dolphin that swims in the ocean. Resturant menus have adopted the name Mahi-Mahi so people don't confuse these fish with dolphins---even though they have the same name!
Ever hear of this? Me either. So interesting! If you know any more about Mahi-Mahi, please post a comment!

I've ate Mahi-Mahi before in several different restaurants and always enjoy it and look forward to it. I didn't know that it was dolphin though. I'm not sure if that changes my opinion of it or not! : )

I also really liked eating Mahi-Mahi. It tasted pretty good. Knowing that it's dolphin doesn't bother me... I'd eat it again.
