The "Disney Insider" is a periodic on-line newsletter that I get through e-mail. (Yes, I love Disney that much!). Anyways, today's issue has the following trivia question...
Question: What are the names of Ariel's sisters?
Answer: Aquata, Andrina, Arista, Attina, Adella, and Alana.
Did you have to sing along to the song to get all the names? I did!
-or-Are you thinking to yourself, "Who's Ariel?"
Melisms...
1. I know several families who (similar to the the Little Mermaid's daughters of Triton) name all of their children names that begin with the same letter. Kinda neat...everybody has the same initials.
2. It's interesting to learn the origins of names. Did you read my blurb in the profile? To learn more about your name, check out this neat website: http://www.babynamer.com/ It's funny to read all the potential nicknames you can get!
3. When you go on a vacation, there's always the "tourist traps" filled with trinkets, keychains, cups, and more with your name labeled somewhere on it. I always feel sorry for kids who have unconventional spellings or unusual names and are never able to get a souvenir. Here's a list of some interesting names I've encountered in the past few years...Darby, Kellin, Keegan, Regan, Juno, Raven, and Melessa.
3. The longer you teach, the more names are associated with particular former students. I wonder if the same is true for movie stars--or if these people just want to make the news. It seems that the current craze is for Hollywood to give their children odd names. Check these out...
